Designing the covers and featured article graphics for four trade organization magazines was a collaborative process involving editorial goals and leadership feedback. Building upon the prompt of the featured story draft title, I sourced images on iStock with a collection of search terms, such as "robot hand", "barista pouring drink", "lifting barbell", and "planet exploded view". I assembled a collection of URLs to deliver in a Google Sheet that then resulted in team feedback, and ultimately a final choice was made by leadership.

Mockups were added in InDesign cover templates for a subsequent proof before approval. Once art direction was approved, I purchased the stock images and used Adobe Photoshop's AI-powered background removal tool so two layers could be used in InDesign to partially cover the masthead. Once the finalized article headlines and copy were sent by the Editorial Director, the file was packaged and sent to the Production Coordinator for the final layout to be sent to the print shop.
